2 Anglers today but sadly despite our best efforts we were fishless. River low and I guess in need of some much needed rain.
A few knocks during the morning was the best we could do.

2 x Roach approximately 1lb
4 x Bream up to 3lb
1x bream roach hybrid a few ounces

What a lovely place. Unfortunately, i walked all the way to the downstream end of the beat and fished my way back up to what looked like the best areas near the top. Unfortunately when i got there, there were 4 lads in canoes and inflatable rafts going up and down the river!!!!

2 Trout, 1 Grayling

Certainly an issue here with anglers on opposite bank,and Eastern Europeans at the Luggs mouth end fishing where ever they wanted. When I told him I had paid to fish here, he said “fishing is free!” I told him that the owner might have a different opinion!
He then left back to his family on the opposite bank

13 Barbel, 19 Chub

River running low and bright conditions. Chub obliged when found. Barbel only switched on late afternoon. All caught on meat and luncheon meat

Good days fishing first swim my brother had five Barbel and a Chub biggest barbel 8lb 6oz and one chub for me,break around 1 o’clock for lunch then back in the afternoon to a new swim where I had two Barbel biggest going 10lb 10oz and a chub of 4lb with 3 more smaller chub and then another chub for the brother.
All fish caught on feeder.

Very enjoyable evening rolling meat over shallows. 3lb Barbel, both chub over 4lb and the other 5 were eels, which while nice to see in numbers wouldn’t leave the meat alone! Try again tomorrow.

Wind really put the fish down but in the few windows the fish rose freely and took a number of different patterns.

Good to get the barbel/chub ratio going in the right direction.
