Had to keep moving to find the fish with the first 3 swims I fished during the morning not producing anything. When I did find the right swims, it was clear they were full of chub with bites coming on float and feeder straight away. Lots of decent chub but only one which went over 4lb. The one barbel, 8-10, came mid afternoon and took a boilie almost as soon as it was cast out. Might have been more around but reckon the chub were quicker to the bait! Did have to ask someone fishing the far side not to cast over my trotting line which was only a couple of rod lengths or so out from my bank. Sensed he wasn't happy, but did as I asked.

Hard going today with a stiff northerly downstream breeze combined with extra water (albeit much needed) meaning little in the way of fly life and consequent lack of interest from the fish. Only a couple of rising fish seen all day. Euro tactics saving the blank but needed heavier nymphs than usual to get down in the deeper/faster sections.

Terrible days fishing I was there from 7 am till 6 pm and moved to 4 different locations throughout the day and no fish caught.
Tried bubble, bottom and spinning to no avail.
Approximately 11 other anglers there fishing also and the ones I spoke too had not caught either and were still trying when I left at 6 pm.
Maybe think about stocking it better or trying to stop the people camping and catching all the stock fish as seemed like this was the case when I arrived there at 7am.

Two Barbel and three Chub, to be honest I wasn't expecting a lot with conditions so all in all it turned out to be a producive morning. All caught on 8mm pellets and PVA bags no photos just wanted to get the fish back ASAP.
