Warm sunny day, river low. Fished from mid morning to mid afternoon. A few fish rising but couldn't tempt them with a dry fly. Around lunchtime caught a plump 12" trout on a GRHE at the Escley junction pool.

A very pleasant hot, sunny day and a low river so fishing was slow. Fished with trout pellets, sweet corn and luncheon meat. Not many bites but a very enjoyable day all the same.

No Salmon caught despite various methods. Tremendous amount of loose weed coming down the river which made fly fishing very difficult. Access to river below Parson Tree Stream almost impossible.

What a wonderful days fishing. Had 32 barbell (best 7lb 8oz)& 7 chub (best 4lb 3oz) and Ian fishing the beat for the first time had 20 barbell (best 6lb 10oz)& 5 chub (best 4lb8oz). Must say we had a lot of small fish in the 2/3lb bracket. All fish caught on pellet & feeder. Stopped fishing from 12.30 till 5pm because of canoes. Good to see Don again.

Glorious day fishing with my 2 sons - their first time on the Wye. Weather bright and sunny with little breeze made the conditions more favourable for the fish rather than the angler! One small wild brownie taken on a small grey hares ear fly, one small grayling taken on a reddish nymph. Great day despite the lack of fish.

Fished in the wood, banks are tricky but ok with care. Caught from the first cast, 10 chub in the first 10 casts before things became a little slower. Rebaiting the swim with the dropper fetched more fish and a couple of barbel all fish caught on corn or 10mm boilie which by chance looked just the same as the cherries falling in the water off the trees. All chub between 3lb and 4lb 8oz, biggest barbel was 8lb 1oz and the other about 4 1/2lb, losing 2 more when the line was cut on rocks. A very nice days fishing indeed, also spotted my first otter on the Wye.

Fished the wood section with both of us on the Croys. Very slow day with few bites and lots of canoes. 1 barbel caught mid afternoon and 1 lost earlier in a snag. This river eats tackle so take plenty of spare feeders/leads. An eel anglers paradise as we managed 7 of them along with a few chublets. A disappointing end to our 4 day trip. Will be back next year to try some other beats, hopefully the river will be up a bit.

Water level was very low, fish were active in the morning and at dusk, the strong wind and the sun didn't help. I lost few fish in the snags, but managed to catch a bonus... eels, of proper size on luncheon meat! Very nice beat but vegetation makes swims very narrow, at low level of Wye it can be a problem.
