16 x trout 6-11 inches, Ducks Dun dry fly. A warmer day, starting mid-morning, and a lot of olive uprights on the water. Catch split about 50/50 between fish seen rising and others taken prospecting. Come winter, this beat is due for a trim and also some attention to the access, especially around the middle and the cattle gates in particular. The barbed wire fairy has been pretty liberal with her gifts here lately and it is now very difficult to make your way up the channel.

Very windy and difficult casting.
Nothing rising so switched from Dry fly and floating line to intermediate line and caught a 3lb rainbow on a Montana.
Late evening in a beautiful Mayfly hatch still nothing rising.... despite wind dropping! Caught two small brownies and a Perch also returned all on garish lures. All fish returned carefully after recovery time.

A very sunny day with a gentle but quite cool breeze. Quiet in the morning but then fish started rising sporadically in some of the larger pools and responded well to nymphs and large mayflies. Activity increased over the afternoon. Most fish were about half a pound but the 2 largest were almost a pound and a half. Lots of dipper, kingfisher and grey wagtail action. All in all a great day.
