Quite a warm afternoon so was hoping for some mayfly action. Flies hatching and fish rising when I arrived at 2.30 so fished a mayfly klinkhammer. 5 nice sized trout to hand missed as many.

Fished the length of the beat. Nymphing in the faster stretches brought a few trout to 10".
Yellow mayflies, grannom and plenty of other insect species about but only occasional rises spotted all day.

Mainly fished the upper stretch by the pub where fish were rising to intermittent hatches all afternoon. Two were taken on small black klinkhamer and one on a ptn fished New Zealand/duo style. Many others risen and another good fish broke tippet.

Started fishing at 12.30 on A470 side about 150mtrs up from the Dam. Tried all methods not a bite.
Moved to Opposite side still the same, no activity seen on the water really dead. Didn’t speak to any other anglers to see if they had caught I think it’s time to look for a new venue. I’m beginning to think it’s either being overfished or under stocked disappointing again. I left at 6pm

Fished hard all the fast water with nymphs for a good number of trout and grayling. Extremely tough wadding. Saw 2 large barbel and a couple of shad swam past my feet. Highlight was a pb chub of maybe 7lb. I have caught plenty of big chub to 5lb but that was a beast!
