After a run of blanks, finally, one to the net and and one lost on the way to the net. One in the net was about 6 inches, the one that didn’t quite get there was about 5 inches, so neither were specimens but nice to break the barren run. Size 16 grey dry fly fished under a overhanging bush (which claimed the fly a couple of casts later). Not many rising fish this morning, unlike yesterday, but nice to be out on this lovely stretch.

Beauty and the Beast, The Arrow trout are the most beautiful in our catchment and a pb from the arrow with a 15 inch fish photo attached. The amount of agricultural bags and rubbish in the river is inexcustable, our farmers have to step up, including a sheep feed bag tied off with maggots crawling out of it! shocking what was in it? picture attached.

Overcast day saw some rises. Caught both on emergers. First was a fairly small. Second was well sized and very strong.
Great fishing in such a beautiful part of the world. Both released.

Very enjoyable day dipping in and out of the fishing. Camped at The Bridge, cracking pub. Very hot morning, fish were rising at 7.00 when I went out, stopped by 8.30. Became overcast midday'ish and they started to rise again. Had 3 over the next couple of hours. Couple of bites and a couple that shook the fly out. One was a surprisingly big fish for the stream, caught on a copper headed nymph.
