Another hot day. Didn't start till 9.30am breakfast at Inn on Wye too good to miss as I am on a fishing holiday so stayed on Fishery Until 20.30hrs. Obviously missing a early start meant being patient in the heat but early afternoon into evening was rewarded with 3 Barbel 7lb 2oz, 7lb 4oz and small one of about 1lb. An accumulation 7 Chub followed, best was 4lb 4oz just spawned, others were all in and around 3lb. Got a little greedy if I am honest as thinking late evening Barbel would move in. Tried various haired baits but for me Krill always seems to be best overall. 3 different swims today. All fish came from last choice fabulous swim. Bumped into Adam who was on his rounds so got to say hello. All in all another cracking day with some good fish in an AMAZING setting.

Very early start. Rewarded with 7lb Chub, and 3 other Chub (all over 4lb) before 11 am. 8lb and 5lb Barbel caught between noon and 1pm.
All fish caught on either meat or pellet.
River in superb condition, coloured and fining down. Levels dropped by a good 20 cm during session.
Aside from wading, is there anyway to access the left hand bank?

River was very low and strong downstream wind made casting very difficult. Only managed to rise four fish, and only landed one.

Only one take, on dry fly, later in the evening. Even though no sign of a hatch. No luck with a variety of small nymphs. Pleasant evening though and not a soul in site for most of the evening.

Tried the float for a couple of hours. A bit too much water.
