The major difficulty of the day was the amount of dis-lodged weed floating through the swims in large and small rafts, making some swims unfishable. The day was overcast with some rain. The fishing was better than expected and not many canoes went through. Unfortunately, the farmers diesel pump was extracting water from the river until later in the day disrupting the tranquility.

4 Barbel, 4 Chub

Fished an evening ticket (after 17:00) and started at about half-five in extremely humid conditions. A steady trickle of various colour mayflies coming off and fish rising fairly steadily; to the point that we were preoccupied for the first hour with covering rising fish in the slow sections - ones we seemed to spook bar a 1lb WBT taken on a spider of all things.
Leapfrgging up through the faster was where the action was more consistent. Four fish of 8-9oz were taken on Parachute Adams, Sherry Spinner and GRHE before fading light stopped us just short of Poplar pool. The fish were still rising with alacrity when we left and we only did so because wading was becoming very tricky indeed in the gloaming.
A beautiful stretch and one which we'll visit very soon to cover the four-fifths we didn't even look at!

Just the one change chub today. Really worked the section hard but a difficult day.

Just fished for the morning and had seven fish. The river looked very low and needs some rain. Nice beat but my planned trotting didn't come off as the water was so low so a bit disappointed.

3 Barbel, 4 Chub

Several salmon seen but would not take.

Wet fly, full day, Welsh rain on and off throughout. Great beat with good access from the car park at the caravan place. Wading/river access is good when the river's relatively low. Largest fish caught approx 0.6lb and three other smaller fish. Lost another that felt larger.

I caught one trout on worm. 3 hooked but broke away. Damp and drizzle weather wise, but enjoyed the day none the less.

Fished afternoon, 2 barbell. River started to rise as I was leaving. Wish I was fishing tomorrow.

2 Barbel

A highly enjoyable day on a nice beat despite the incessant drizzle. I had 6 Barbel to 6lb from a swim slightly upstream of the mouth of the Lugg, all on pellet, plus two decent Eels on meat. Later in the day I moved upstream to one of the croy swims downstream of the hut and had 4 Chub to 4lb on meat in the slower, deeper water. Levels came up 6in in the last two hours and seemed to put them down.
Many thanks to the 2 gents on the opposite bank who had fished the previous day and put me on to the first swim.
