Fantastic setting but reservoir very low due to dry September.First time fishing here and initially flat calm in morning but then ripple fromNE and easy casting downwind from West Bank from just below dam.Large area of bank covered with floater and intermediate poly leader and various flies inc daddies and small fry patterns but 2 of us fishing and only 1 small brownie caught early on.Became hot in afternoon and so finished around 3.30pm.Still enjoyable and one advantage of low water means we were able to map into our memories the usually submerged terrain ready for a return in the spring hopefully with more success!

River very low, sun out and warm. Not the best conditions but an enjoyable day nonetheless. Will be nice to fish the autumn when there’s been a good downpour.

The river was very low. I fished mid-afternoon to evening in the woods section and had a small barbel and a chub of about 31/2lb on the feeder.

3 barbel before the sun got up properly then the normal chub fest on the float. Back for the evening but the barbel couldn't beat the chub to the bait. Thanks Colin and WUF for yet another fabulous day.
