Our first time on this beat and the upper section of the fishery was off limits because of anglers on the other bank. However, we found a couple of promising looking swims further down. The river was about 1.2m up but clearing and not too much debris coming down. All fish were caught in the edge, a rod length out and all fought really well in the increased flow! We had an enjoyable day and the view, particularly as the river bends around to the right is absolutely stunning. I am already planning my next trip to the Wye! Thanks W&UF.

River dropped two foot during the day with floating debris making it hard work later on. All fish caught from pegs in field furthest downstream on coated meat. Worth the risky decent to swims with a dog spike and strong rope.

Gusty winds made casting awkward. Tried this and 2 other Aberystwyth Angling lakes over by Nant-y-Moch. Didn't have a touch all day.

Challenging conditions with 4ft of extra water and pushing through. Various pellets accounted for most fish. The 'other' was an impressive eel caught on Spam.

Was a bit concerned about the beat reading past reports about the swim access .
Must of hit river right as after first flush through it opened up all swims in first field and could fish the whole stretch at 1 mtr
Fished from 9 until 4 not the best times but the chubb we’re definitely on Having 25 between us all good average biggest 5 lb 3 oz on all baits
One small barble with a lone bait away from chubb fishing

Unable to park in designated area due to soft muddy track, no suitable layby nearby for my campervan. No one at deserted farmhouse to ask about parking. Birdwatching day instead. Will stick to Tregaron AA beats next time.

Fished three spots attempting to locate barbel. Standard feeder and ledger methods. Very snaggy - better suited to float fishing but the river was high, coloured, and flowing fast. Picked up one small barbel in the swim at the downstream limit (just before the limit - the most downstream swim was under water). Caught a chub from the same swim.
