Around 1lb trout caught at the bottom of Ashford Bend on a black perdigon. Quite a few fish rising mid afternoon. Could not access Garden and Bridge pool, not sure how you could get along that side and no chance of crossing the river.

Nothing doing. Air temp cool. Water cool, coloured but seemed normal level, (assessment of bankside vegetation and flood debris, as I don't know this brooks seasonal fluctuations).
A few duns on the wing.
A lovely stream with some cracking pools. Easily waded with care. Directions, access, parking all good and well described.

Fished beats 3,5 and 6. First time fished Whitney Court. Lovely waters. River level still fairly high but not too cloudy. Sadly no Salmon, but caught 1 x Shad / Mayfish whilst spinning with flying C.

There were two of us fishing; both with the fly. Some rain overnight; the water was coloured.
Found the wading difficult/deep in the area of the Tail of Rock pool as advised in the instructions.
Had lunch in the fishing hut. Unable to make the gas stove work. Too much rubbish on the ground around the Hut.

A high lightly coloured river that rose at first then slowly fell. Rain and wind. Late in the afternoon a smattering of LBD and Olives tempted a few trout to rise but continuous high water has not given this spring the best of starts.

Very early in the season and no sign of trout moving in the margins. It was a windy day, too, so casting was challenging. I used a deep wet fly (leech type lure) but had no takes on either the lower or upper llyn. Nevertheless, on my first visit to this beautiful location, I had a delightful day and will visit again.
