River very low and clear which provided a convenient excuse for our complete lack of any fish today.

6 Rainbow trout caught bait fishing on the bottom.

Grayling nil, 4 x out of season trout 6-10 inches. The Llynfi was in nice condition on a warm grey morning, but I failed to find any grayling while searching around with bugs. Post-spawning trout all pretty but thin. Saw the first rise to a large dark olive so far this spring.

Blank, I'm afraid, although I did my best to search the rather canal-like water above the mill-dam with nymphs. A dry fly cast to rising fish on a warm spring evening would probably be a better bet. It's a very pretty place to come and fish, parking by a mill where the wheel still turns.

1 Grayling pushing the 1lb mark. From speaking to two other anglers on the beat, the grayling seemed to be very spread out, possibly getting ready to spawn...

An enjoyable day on a lovely beat. I fished opposite the weir gardens, 3 chub caught all on legered bread flake.

Due to unforeseen circumstances did not fish!

River in tip top condition; beautiful day but overnight frost meant fishing was hard. One nice grayling on french nymphing tactics. Big thankyou to Gareth for the tuition and the encouragement. Will be back, thank you WUF.

3 barbel and 2 chub on maggot despite bright and sunny conditions and clear water.
