Nothing caught. Sunny conditions, no fish seen, but still a great day none the less.

Arrived around 5pm, perfect conditions for the evening rise. Caught an 8 inch Grayling on an emerger while waiting for the action to start. Prolific hatch of upwing flies, yellow mays, and small daddy long legs around 8pm. Fish not interested, none seen at all. Left around 9.45pm.

2 chub 4-5lb, one barbel 7lb on meat and pellets.

Lost two good size grayling and caught one grayling of a pound on a gold sinking nymph.

Could not locate any fish on the river maybe it was just me but i found it difficult so its a big 0 from me.

Weather cloudy to sunny intervals. Caught 13 grayling up to three quarters of a pound and three small WBT. Unfortunately, the day was somewhat spoilt by a mother, her two daughters and loose dog who thought they had the right to use the Lugg as a swimming pool (thanks TV country shows). Roll on colder weather when the grayling will be forthcoming and wild swimmers forced indoors.

8 chub from 6oz to just under 4lb. A lovely stretch of river.

Only fished in morning but was disappointed not to see a fish in this usually productive stretch. It is still a lovely stream and we all have our 'off days'.

Wonderfull to be back on the river after twelve months,
no rivers in Jersey. 3 barbel caught and one lost straightening the hook, for us a good start on the river.

Foggy start leading to a bright sunny day. 12 Barbel and a smattering of Chub mostly caught top end to middle of fishery on pellet and groudbait tactics. A little disappointing end result, perhaps we should not have such high expectations of both the River and our own angling skills. Thanks to WUF for giving us the opportunity anyway still a wonderfull place to spend a day with friends.
