A rather dull and showery morning. Nothing rising. Text book nymphing weather (I guess, I've never actually read a text book). I stuck on an Adams and caught 9 or 10 trout.

A warm bright day. The river was quite clear. I started at the top of the beat in the deeper water and had a chub of 1 1/2lbs quite quickly, then nothing so early afternoon I moved right to the lower end of the beat where the shallow fast water deepens and there had another chub of 2lbs and my first ever barbel at 5lbs. All were taken on boilies. Lovely beat and shall return.

This was our first visit to this venue and we opted to park up and fish the top field below Vanstone Pool where there is plenty of depth and a discernable crease. We both fished pellet feeders and finished the day with four barbel each to 9lbs 7oz.
A very enjoyable day on a very pleasant and interesting beat. We will be back.

3 chubb to 3lbs 9oz, 1 perch 1lbs 8oz and several dace.

1 chub caught only weighing. 3lb on a cascade. 1 salmon seen rise at 6 in the evening. Very nice spot but did not see many fish moving.

First time that I have fished Wyebank ...what a stunning stretch of the Wye. Fishing with my god-daughter Gemma on her first barbel trip. Started fishing at 10.30am and she caught her first barbel at 10.32am....about 4lbs and was absolutely thrilled. We continued to catch spasmodically over the day, finishing with 6 barbel to 10lbs 7oz...with several lost and 8 chub to 4lbs 8oz. Successful method was feeder-fished pellets. Very many thanks to Don Macer-Wright for his generous help and information. Needless to say Gemma wants to know when are we going barbel-fishing again!!!

No fish caught but one lost after a short encounter in Ford Stream. Conditions sunny and 16degree Celsius. size 10 Thunder and Lightening

No catch , but a very nice day.

Due to poor sport on the previous day, our group fished another day ticket water, this is by no means a reflection on Caradoc, and I am sure we will return there in the future.

My first time on this beat, which is very diverse, giving plenty of choice. I fished at the top end of the fishery, using pellet and feeder, with great results, twelve barbel up to almost nine pounds and one decent chub. I also lost three in a mid river snag, before I worked out how to avoid it. A great days fishing on a really nice stretch.
