Fished from midday to 4pm with plenty of fish rising. Mostly small 6-10 inch fish but I saw a couple of good size fish jump. I was struggling to catch until I extended my leader to around 13 foot which seemed to do the trick. I think the brightness and low water meant I kept spooking them before hand. Had I set the hook on every fish that took my fly I would have had around 8-10 but for some reason it was a day where either I wasn’t quick enough or my underpants were too tight. Who knows :)

We had a very enjoyable day moving around the Aber pools close to Rhosgoch. We managed 18 fish between us. The fish were not rising freely, but we managed to get them to come up and slash at surface fished hopper patterns fished across the ripple. Great fun.

River a bit low. Used PVA mesh with ledger all day. Many bites missed and almost certain that we lost 2 barbel.
Very enjoyable day. Started at 10 am and finished at 4pm

Fishing very slow so tried 5 swims to find the fish. Barbel and one chub next to the island on consecutive casts but that proved to be a false dawn but on reflection should have persevered in the faster water. All fish to feeder tactics with pellet or meat on the hook. Nothing on the float rod and one other was an eel.

Chub bonanza as usual.
All caught on float fished corn, luncheon meat and various krill and halibut drilled baits. Exactly the same on feeder. Catching fish from first cast at around 5.30am through to last cast at around 3.30pm.
Average size of the chub was around 2.5lbs with best fish around 4.5lbs but didn't take time to weigh any of them. Overall catch numbers was estimated at well over 100 on the two rods. That works out at around 12 fish per hour which is a low estimate, it was extraordinary and, dare I say, became almost boring.
Unfortunately no barbel and these were our primary target.
