A little perturbed to find TWO anglers on the upstream section of this beat (above the bridge) on arrival!!!
Shortly after arrival the owner turned up on the other bank and I heard her tell the other two they had to move upstream of the weir or I might get upset!!!!!!! Anyway, after resting things for an hour or so I started fishing and ended up with, for me, a red letter day!!! 3 firsts!
First double hook up resulting in 2 grayling in the net at the same time. First Grayling on a dry fly. First 2lb Grayling! This is a milestone fish for me, have been trying to catch a 2lber for the last 18 months! Finished up with 8 Grayling and 2 Trout and left a happy chap!
2 Trout, 8 Grayling
