Great stretch but need to fish early or late due to very heavy canoe traffic. I fished from 6 till 11 then gave up. Track down now impossible unless you have a good 4x4. When arrived met 2 lads that had been stuck there overnight . The loose stone needs compacting down

Fantastic fishing with light gear. Used a stick float and 4mm pellet for bait. Took a while to get bites but fish seemed to move in after 20 minutes or so and kept coming after that. Caught fish throughout the beat. Barbel up to 5lb and chub up to 4lb with the average being around the 1lb mark.

Lovely bucolic beat. Will return.
"Cardiac Hill" is rather trivial and bank access is good ( just the normal Wye steepness). I'd pack a rope/dog-lead peg after rain, or later in the year.
A long hot day in low level conditions, mostly (at times very) chubby until a few barbel from one localised area near dusk

Fishing was slow at the start, although beautiful on the river in lovely sunny conditions. It picked up a bit later on when a few insects started showing - half caught on caddis patterns, others on small mayfly duns and spinners.
