A fantastic morning and evening. River low with a tinge of colour. Fish ranged from 1/2 lb to 5lb+ in both species. All fish in great condition with lots of year classes. Float fished meat using a stepped up float rod and centre pin.

3 fished, another tough day, seems to be the norm at the moment . The other was a trout.

Nice place, good access and directions, Chub caught trotting meat and ledgered pellet. We will be back!

Strange old day on the river. There were a lot more canoes and paddle boards around than I expected. And when I arrived at my favourite swim, the first thing I had to do was go back to the car for a bin liner. See photos of what others forgot to take home with them. Fishing was ok but not a sniff from any barbel. A good few chub, none of them big, and took a photo of what turned out to be the best one. Also, had a kingfisher fishing from an overhanging tree to the right of my swim. Was amazing to sit there watching him!
