Sunny day on the river. Water very low, but still some nice little pools. Rose plenty of fish on the dry, and dropped a couple of surprisingly solid brownies for such a small stream. Two came to hand, around 8 inches or so. Parachute adams and elk hair caddis did the work. Lovely little stream for some 3wt action.

Fished the afternoon here. Glorious sun into the evening. Many rising fish about a third of the way up the beat. Decent hatch of sedge had the fish excited and active, rising consistently all afternoon. Three beautiful wilds came to the net, the largest being maybe 1/2 lb - all super fighters. Fished caddis, and at one point they went nuts for a sparsely tied cdc. Beautiful stretch of river.

It has been my first time fishing in a welsh river. Great place for the landscape around. The day was sunny. I fished from 11 AM to 4 PM predominantly dry fly. The water was veiled probably because of the rain the day before. I caught and released a brown trout with an imitation in CDC. I had some refuse. The next time will be better. Greetings to all the fishermen of Wales.

Lovely section of the Wye. River had dropped a lot from the previous week so I expected things to be a little slow. I fished 3 swims from 1:30 to 9:00 p.m. on the 3rd swim around 5 p.m. I had my first bite, a lovely long lean chub of around 3lb then followed by 2 more & 3 barbel around 6lb mark. If you can make use of the farmers taxi service I would strongly recommend it as it's a bit of a walk to the river. He was spot on with his service & a nice bloke too. Really nice stretch definitely would go back.
