No risers, caught on hares ear nymph under sedge dry.

Evening fish 6-7.30 light was fading by then just one trout A W on a small Griffiths gnat. Another great Usk beat.

Caught seven WBT and one grayling, river below one foot on Llanstephan gauge. Fished spiders and a gold head flashback hares ear on the point across and down. I pretty much use this method all the time on this beat and it always pays dividends. Had lots of pulls that were lightning fast and failed to connect. Two trout caught on the bottom section, the rest on the top section. Not easy to negotiate the top section for a seventy three year old but well worth the effort on the top section

Super day - good rise at 4pm onwards. Plenty of good fish moving. All fish returned.

Great day, continuous bites all day on pellets and meat, lost a barbel but landed chub to 5.5 lb
