Absolutely stunning river. As mentioned below can be a bit tricky to access, and water is high in places, chest waders are a must. Be prepared to be scrambling up the bank multiple times to get round high water.
Starting fishing around 1200 on a warm, dry day. River was low and clear. No fish rising for first few hours, despite Mayfly hatches and an abundance of insect life. Missed two bites on a black Klinkhammer and CDC in some of the fast water.
Around 1500 started to see fish rising half way up the beat. This continued for another 3+ hours. Caught 1X7inch Grayling on Rusty Klinkhammer (missed another 5). 3XWBT, best being 13 inch. All caught on Klinkhammer variations.
Great days fishing on a stunning piece of river.

River low and clear. Weather warm and humid with full cloud cover and a gentle breeze. The fishing was incredible. Most of the bites were immediate and violent. I fished for 4 hours. After landing my 8th specimen barbel I walked up the hill and picked wild cherries for the preserving jar to calm me down. 8 barbel 8 Chub.

Started at 7:45pm John went to top beat and put a salmon fly through fast water above rock while I fished a small rubber shad through Rock pool. I have great deal of confidence in these shads having caught a 9lber on one last trip. At 9:30 the trout started to rise throughout the pool. I changed to the trout rod and rose and missed 4. John went down to wood stream at 8:30 and landed 3 and lost 2 on spiders. A change to a dry jingler at 9pm resulted in 5 more landed 3 more lost. Best fish landed was about 1:5lb, but 2 larger ones lost. Several salmon showed in Rock pool

Was meant to fish all day but didn't manage to get to the river until 5. it was overcast and warm but surprisingly little fly about. I had 4 fish up to 1lb weight two on a spent gnat and two on a sedge, all fish were returned safely.
Lovely evening thank you.

Hot day, low water, fished the bottom peg after walking the whole beat. Top half very broad and slow with few easily accessible spots, streamy water in the middle looks very nice. Had a good few chub, only one small barbel.
