Fantastic day in great surrounding. Weather and water conditions were perfect. Plenty of fly life from mid morning onwards. bwo and various types of caddis with the large cinnamon sedge being the most prominent. 20+ grayling caught, but to be honest it could've been double this as I just stopped counting at 20. A good dozen of them on heavy nymphs and remainder on a reddish brown size 12 parachute. I believe I hooked either a very large trout or a small salmon at the tail of a deep pool. It was on for about 2/3 mind before it throw the hook. Tail looked too sharp for a trout, but I will never know. Great fun on a 3wt rod. Great day thank you.

Calm sunny day. Fishing for barbel with pellet. Lots of snags .

4 Barbel

One barbel each to pellet, plus several nice dace on trotted maggot; at least one other angler on the beat had multiple barbel. River in perfect condition as was the calm autumn weather

2 Barbel, 10 Other

Parking no problem, Only two of the three anglers fished, illness. This is quite a small section with not many swims. Barbel caught with conventional feeder and hair rigged pellets, nothing clever. The Barbel on this section appear to be quite a small stamp of fish 4 to 5 LB

As always a great day was had on Caradoc, a truely lovely stretch of the wye.

A productive couple of hours, 3 fish a 9lb cock fish from Dolmeudwy then an 8.5lb hen from the orchard both on Usk grub followed a couple of casts later by an angry cock fish of 20lb on a small cascade.

absolutely nothing happening at all. had to work hard for the 2 grayling, both 14 inches

6 Trout, 2 Grayling

27ins slightly coloured hen (on #8 Usk Grub) which took just above the big Rock at top of the Rock Pool. Water really very clear with four foot visibility but still catching leaves every 6th cast or so even with a sink tip.
