After thunderstorms yesterday, and some of the heaviest rain I've witnessed whilst fishing today, the river was rising (6" in the afternoon) and orangey- brown.
One of us winkled out a few chub from just one spot under a tree. One of us tried deeper, shallower, slower and faster water but failed miserably and and blanked...yours truly!

Feeder fishing saw us catch several chub, 1 sea trout, 4 barbel to 9lb 4oz and 1 lost. Water very coloured as heavy rain over the 48hrs leading to session. Mud was no issue and is beautiful. We parked in layby as can't drive down in rain. 500yrd walk was OK.

Tough days fishing resulting in only the one barbel, but a nice fish to just over 8lb in perfect condition. River pretty coloured following Friday's rain.
Fished a mix of pellet and crushed boilie in open ended feeder.
Nice beat, would definitely return. The track was really nothing to worry about and got down and back up easily.

River slightly up and heavily coloured. Pacey water, 4oz+ to hold, even in slacker stretches. Weather very wet to begin with, then sunny intervals. Most fish caught during overcast spells. Barbel from 3 to 10lbs. Chub from 1 to 5lb. Ledgered pellet and luncheon meat. Spiced up a little because of water colour.
Excellent session around midday, when fish came every ten minutes for two hours.
