Hot day but fishing slow hardly saw a fish rise all day, tried with nymphs early on but no luck. Both caught on olive pattern.

Fished from 6am temp went from too cold to too hot. Water still a high height to safely wade and a bit coloured, but had an enjoyable few hours. Didn't see any Salmon but a few small trout splashing around.

lovely few hours , huge amount of fly on water but nothing rising. all fell for 2.5mm baetis nymph fished along the bottom. size all in the 10-12 inch mark.

Spinning from first light on a beautiful morning. River was quiet, until I got as far as Roberts Crib where my spinner was hit hard by a salmon which proceeded to cartwheel immediately and threw the hooks! Apart from a small pike late morning that was it I’m afraid! Stunning beat!

As the level had dropped slightly and weather glorious (too bright!), took a walk along and managed 1 trout to gold head nymph. Still a tinge of colour and would benefit from a few inches less water. Lovely way to spend a few hrs in the sunshine though.
