Fished the stretch above the viaduct at Aberglais Inn - fast flowing, nearly all rocks, some deep pools, hard wading. My old legs were knackered by the time I reached the footbridge! Managed to land 6 at 6 -9" having tempted many more to at least have a look at the small para adams and rust klink. Interesting that all the feeder springs and tiny streams were still flowing.

River very low but at least it was a bit cooler. We started fishing at 3pm but not a touch until almost dark and then a hectic last hour. Fished the slower but deeper gullies upstream. All fish on feeder tactics using pellets.

Fished 2.00pm-8.00pm. I decided to make the arduous trek up the hill and through the woods to the faster water, whilst my fishing colleague (booked separately) bottled out and sat in the closest swim to the car. Eventually the sight of me catching fish brought him downstream to join me. Caught steadily, Barbel on lead/pellet bags (feeders are less productive in these conditions) and Chub on the float. All fish swam off strongly. An enjoyable afternoon!

Very low conditions again, but slightly more cloud.
Fished where the fish were the previous day and between my mate and I, we managed 6 Barbel to 8.11.
First fish came at 7.30am but had to wait till 5pm for our second.
We're both looking forward to coming back when conditions are more favourable.

Just a quick session on the likely trouty places on the Pinsley , headed down there at half five before the sun poked its head out !!! Was a lovely fresh morning and although severely like a jungle on two beats of the Pinsley , was still really pleasant being down there , and fished from near six till just gone eight . . . .
I did notice a couple of rises in the ever narrowing channel of the Brook , so rigged up the two weight six foot rod with a tiny Parachute Adams , and after some careful manouvering and very unconventional casting . . . . Did have a little cracker on , always go ballistic here in the narrow channel but great fun , about nine inches maybe . . .
Moving along to other areas that have produced before , I managed another little brownie , splashy little take , ditto in size great condition , quickly admired then a splashy goodbye and he was away !!!!
A fun couple of hours , still a reasonable flow considering , think the downpour other night helped , although could have done with a few more hours rain , great fun and a nice start to the day before breakfast !!!!!!!!!!!
