Water low and clear as you'd expect; several takes of a dry didn't stick but a lovely 12" fish took a nymph at the head of a deeper pool.

A couple of 8" trout took a nymph hung just under a dry. Low and clear but with plenty of flow - inevitable given the gradient, I guess! Tried to wade carefully but almost impossible not to spook a fair few. Other were parr.

Only grabbed few couple hours in the morning before the long drive home, so missed the evening bonanza. The water level was dropping and becoming gin clear - roved around trudling meat between the swans for a couple of Chub

No significant fly hatch am to mid afternoon.
Dry fly only - midge types.
Nil return but lost 2 fish ( insufficiently hooked not broken tackle).

Fished late p.m. and evening. One small trout to a black klinkhammer. Very quiet in all respects. Found on viewing catch returns later that DR had fished same beat earlier that day - that's my excuse. Must get out earlier.
