Only catch for me was sunburn. Foul-hooked a small fish (approx 2.5" long) but not sure what it was. Lovely views, mind you!
Bread and corn seemed to be effective but still only resulted in interest from tiddlers.

Barbel 7lb 6oz, 4 chub up to 4lb 8oz all on boilies. River still coloured, sunny and warm. Lost a powerful fish at 9pm, it felt like a good Barbel (carp??), took off like an angry Carp!
Fishing Passport Note: Large carp are quite often seen at the lower limit of How Caple Court.

Posting results for a friend, unfortunately only caught a small Dace on meat, no other bites although fishing the peg I fished the previous day and using the same bait and tactics. That's fishing for you!

Small, feisty fish. Very challenging fishing! Next time I will try using my tenkara outfit for these easily-spooked, fast-as -lightning takers!

Another over cast day but plenty off water to play in. Started at Bridge pool Czech nymphing size 16 with GRHE point & emerger on dropper. Got results first few casts and picked up 2 Grayling. Moved right up to head of river and hooked into a large Trout which danced off the hook. Moved up to Spring Pool and manged to pick up a good 10 inch Grayling. Finished off the day back at the bridge and changed point fly to Green tag. Picked up 2 small Trout for my troubles. Enjoyed the whole day but be careful on those rocks.

I was shocked by the state of the river. It has deteriorated drastically since I last saw it 4 years ago. The bed is now covered with slime and filamentous algae. The back eddies stink of dairy slurry. This is a dying river. We should all support the Wye and Usk Foundation as it seeks to protect our beautiful rivers from diffuse and acute pollution.
A few splashy rises to a size 16 soft hackle, but with one exception they were reluctant to connect.
