Another lovely day but the water temperature was again very cold. Some nice hatches of LDOs here and there and the only rises we saw were far off. Neither of us covered a rising fish all day, which must be a first. We'll be back when the river temperature is a bit higher. But nonetheless, lovely to be back on the water again.

I could almost cut and paste yesterday’s report. River a little high (11” on Brecon gauge) but gin clear. Bright and sunny all day with breeze from west later. Fished 11:00 to 15:00. No sign of any hatch or fish showing. Fished nymphs in the crease of the runs at the top of the beat and then dropped down to the deeper water downstream. Not a touch all day. Needs to warm up a little!

Lovely day for my first trip on this river. Lots of wildlife enjoying the sunshine. Lost a small pike early on but nothing else to report. Just nice being there and I will certainly be back!
