Couldn’t get down the river till early afternoon, River pushing through, fed hemp and pellet in swims at the start and end of the fishery, only fished a couple hours in each resulting in a lovely chub about 4/5 pound

River was about 2ft on the Erwood Gauge and 1'6" on the Rhayader gauge. It was a still a bit high, but crystal clear and very fishable above Newbridge. It was an eventful day. Several salmon jumping around, an otter worked the far bank, red kites and buzzards circling in the skies, and two large groups of canoes made their way downstream. Fishing between about 11 and 2.30pm, I managed a three grayling between 11" and 13" and one 11" trout, all on nymphs. Blustery, cold at times, and the rain came on in the afternoon. Saw a few olives, but not enough to get the fish rising. Good day. Glad I took the chance.

A great day on the river although we couldn't find the grayling today. The river was quite high due to recent rain and lots of leaf debris but a beautiful beat and very friendly people.

Other demands on my time meant this became a very short session of less than three hours. River still high and pushing through needing a 4oz weight; pleasantly mild. I had a chub literally within seconds of my first cast out, but overall it was a quiet afternoon with all three fish of below average size. All on feeder tactics and meat .

Good day for the chub. All between 4Ib 6oz and 5Ib 2oz. Sadly no barbel despite moving swims a lot. River looked ace with some water on. Stefan keeping the swims safe with ropes and steps to most swims.
