Not much sign of fish or insect life. Rather cold north wind. One 8 inch trout took a sedge pattern and one great looking chunky brown of about 12 inch on a klink and dink gold head pt, unfortunately lost at the net but counting him anyway! Very tricky casting due to abundant lime tree growth, could do with a trim.. Gorgeous little river in a stunning place.

Great day for fishing. Weather was pleasantly warm and little or no wind. Reservoir surprisingly low for the time of year. Caught 4 similar sized rainbow trout on a worm.

Mainly fishing the faster runs with team of nymphs.
The bonus was a 12" trout which came off the top to a light green bodied klink.
Good to see so many different insect species buzzing about over the water.
Other were two tiny salmon parr, returned quickly swam away well.

Muggy and overcast with breeze picking up over course of the day. River really needs freshening up with some meaningful rainfall. Occasional olive hatching through the day but no interest from any fish. One small BT on PTN from the fast water at the top of the beat. Some fish moving from around 15:30. Had one lovely WBT of around 16” on a dry olive. Tiny rises can be deceptive!
