Caught 1 brown within the first hour then nothing all day. Tried dry / wet fly and spinning all around the reservoir, no sign of any fish. however there were a plenty of night lines, evidence of fires?

Caught one beautiful 2 1/2lb trout at about 6pm, on a SBJ with wings. A decent fisherman would have caught many more, as there was a good evening rise... River obviously very low.

A pretty stretch up to The Bridge Inn. The water was quite low but fish were rising in the deeper pools.
Studs on boots essential on the slippery bed rock. I would recommend parking at the pub and timing your end of day to coincide with a pint and an excellent meal. As previously mentioned it’s quite a short beat now so suits a half day fishing
