Had a very good day on this stretch. Weather warm but overcast most of the day. Had 6 barbel to about 5lb and 20 ish chub which averaged about 3 1/2 lb with some going to 5lb. Most fish caught on meat with a few on pellet and the largest chub on free lined floating bread under the bridge.

Lots of fish moving in the river.

Good day. Plenty of decent sized chub 10+ . No barbel unfortunately but I think may have lost one ...by the screaming take....! Bit of a trek to bankside. Travel light or have a trolley to assist. Accessability very limited unless you have mountain goat in your blood!! River and scenery beautiful as ever...good to be back on Bankside again.....OH!! WHOEVER WAS THERE IN THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS ,TAKE YOUR TESCO PASTA CONTAINERS ,EXPIRY DATE 17/06/22 HOME WITH YOU!!!!!!

I could only get there after 5pm and found the water a bit murky after the rain of the last 24 hours, decided to therefore try some brighter patterns but soon changed to dry flies as I noticed fish surface feeding. After 8pm the fish really started feeding in a frenzy and would bite at anything I floated past them. This was most productive in the slower moving pools which were about 2 foot deep. I left at 9pm but the fish were still at it.
