Very quiet fish wise. Only saw two rising trout and didn’t see anything moving in the pools or holding anywhere. Plenty of insect life and even the odd mayfly around, plus Dippers and a Kingfisher.. I only stayed for just over an hour. This is a really pretty beat but the water level is really low. There are some deep pools, but you almost need to fish them like a stillwater - a dry sits on top and doesn’t move. The shallower runs are mostly too shallow to hold fish. I’ll come back when we have had some rain

Fished from 14:00 to 22:00 river was low in bright conditions. Caught all fish on pellet at the top end. Otter appeared in my mates swim next to me around teatime and things went dead which was a shame at the best catching time

Lovely few hours fishing on the evening ticket, had the stretch to myself, no canoes or other disturbance after 6pm. Fished a nice steady glide just 2 rod lengths out, simple running ledger with either pellets or lump of meat as bait. Just loose fed a dozen pellets by hand every 15 mins or so, no need to throw loads in. Had 4 chub and 4 barbel, all lovely condition good quality fish, best chub 4lb 2oz, best barbel 7lb 5 oz. Really enjoyable session.
