Hi
Today was a lovely day river beautiful and clear with fish showing throughout the beat. I caught one lovely established 1 Pouder which was returned ok.
However please can we have a clear sign at the stream to define Dinas beat end and Abercynrig beat start as the two people who booked the Dinas beat clearly didn't understand where Dinas ends, one of the parties was fishing halfway up the Abercynrig beat which led me to the top of Abercynrig beat and work it down stream.
My day was wonderful a nice beat.

The river was extremely low and there were features showing that had not been seen in decades. The banks needed a great deal of care to get down to land a fish. A long landing net handle is necessary. All of the fish were caught in the deeper water. The swim upstream of the fence is productive but a rope is a must in my opinion, if you are not keen on getting your feet wet.

Fly fishing and spinning yielded no results. The only method that seem to work speaking to other anglers was power bait.

Lots of Dace and Bleak on the waggler and stick float but had to fish the feeder to get through to the bigger Barbel and Chub.

River low, clear and weedy. Good fishing still to be had if you’re adaptable. Fishing on the bottom in most swims proved difficult because of the weed, I found some good productive stick float fishing eventually just below the faster runs. Travel light, waders on. Enjoyed my day.
