Very quiet despite seemingly favourable weather and water conditions. Found a few fish rising in quarry pool and managed to hook and land one of these on an olive cdc, after which it went dead quiet again. Took the other at the inflow on ptn.

Difficult day with sporadic oncers. One decent 17" fish that wrapped me in some re-bar on the river bed twice. Still a fun day as always.

16lb cock fish for James Tustin this morning.

A fish lost in the Rock Pool this morning. On briefly after taking a German Snelda but didn’t stick
Grrrrrrr.

Spent a few hours here today, another beautiful location. Fished down from the footbridge this morning, and up in the afternoon but the fish were not playing.

The river is blocked by tree debris downstream from the bridge.

Note to WUF admin - please can you amend the directions to note that parking should be directly under the yew tree - the very nice lady who rents the cottage says to park on the grass triangle as close to the tree trunk as possible so her access is completely clear.

Two Brown trout taken on pheasant tail hot spot nymph in the faster glides. River conditions were lovely.
