Great access.
Struggled with the bright sunshine, however my son caught 2 and lost 5 decent trout at the net doing the euro nymphing technique.
Very few risers.
We shall return!

A great days fishing, we all call decent fish the biggest 3.5lb

The river was too low. We didn't even spot a trout. Beautiful area though

River condition - relatively low and running clear. Noticeable algal growth on all rocks on slower flowing areas, indicative of excessive nitrates and phosphates from sewage inflow or agricultural run-off. No Ranunculus growth apparent anywhere.

During the day, very few / no flies emerging and no rising fish seen. Very disappointing. Around dusk a few upwings hatching (including mayflies, large dark olives, yellow may duns and brook duns) and sporadic rising fish.

3 brown trout caught on dry fly - 1 x approx 1/2lb, 1 x approx 1lbs, 1 x approx 1.5lbs (all returned).

Glorious bluebird day, however nothing caught. Though we saw a few rises towards the end of the day as packing up car - Sod's Law! Lovely beat. Will be revisiting.

Another blank. No fish. Avoid.

Mostly small trout but best around 12 oz. Best fly Kate mclaren bumble. Fish generally taking high in water.
