2 rainbow trout caught on fly. Enjoyable day.

Caught on a size 10 Cruncher in the first 15 minutes of fishing, then not a touch all day. Wind direction was pushing all the warm surface water towards me on the North Bank and the fish were definitely heading out of reach into the deeper water. The best place to be would have been on the down wind side of the reservoir, past the Tower, but the road is in such a bad state I wasn't prepared to drive to the parking area. It's a beautiful setting but very poorly managed for anglers.

2 beautiful little perch they were returned in pristine condition, what a lovely bonus. We had a great day fishing on a glorious day

Sunnier than we would have liked. The 3 of us started down the bottom end utilising the lovely new parking spot. Two fished the really fishy looking beach but could only manage a couple of Chub fishing bombs over loose pellets. The 3rd fished above in a deeper run and had a few Chub on the float. Another move further up produced the 6 barbel all from one swim, along with a few chub again on bombs over pellets with boillies. The biggest was only about 5lb but really feisty and then went back well too.

We had one last try up the top end which is quite weedy at present but this only produced one Chub. So a nice day and thanks to Stefan for all the great work done on the beat.

Found a lovely looking swim below the island downstream of the Toll Bridge. Lots of bites from small fish on meat, removing the bait, but no success.
