River level was up way too much, tough days fishing

Difficult beat when the river is running through a bit. 2 chub on pellets from top peg on left hand bank.

Water high here gave up at 1pm

River high, brown and fast! No barbel unfortunately but a good day. Stayed at the Annexe, Stay on the Wye, 500m from the fishing, great place to stay

Didn't even attempt to fish. The banks were slippery the day before in the dry so in the heavy rain they would be treacherous. Therefore, I opted for a leisurely breakfast in the B&B instead!

The river was up and very coloured but fishable. Fished noon until 5pm and had 9 chub. No barbel which was surprising.
