10 x trout 6-10 inches, size 18 Rusty Klinkhammer. Early morning visit during a heatwave - the water is very low again but presumably refreshed by showers last week.

Stream beautifully freshened up by recent rains. Some beautiful wbt including a good 14 15 incher from a tiny tree rooted run. Gave my 3 weight fibreglass a chance to flex as I locked and held to stop what would have been certain loss. Exciting stuff.

Stream rising and coloured after overnight rain. 3 x trout 6-10 inches, size 16 Rusty Klinkhammer. I must have missed twice as many due to nervous / mistimed striking. I need to get used to fishing a small fly again.

River level very low, extremely difficult not to spook fish. Not much coming off the surface, but saw a couple of fish rising. Fished a size 16 parachute adams with a small gold bead PTN 12 inches below. Both brown trout (1 x 6 inches, 1 x 8 inches) took the nymph but had a few takes on the dry and a couple of long distance C&Rs. First time fishing this nice stretch of water but plenty of dog walkers and dogs in the stream, which became slightly frustrating at times.

First time using fishing passport, am very happy with the service received before booking.
Fished from 5-10 am, water was at a nice level, some nice pools. There is about 800 yards or so of fishing and my 6’ bamboo rod was perfect. I fished nymphs, roll casting mostly, caught no fish but had a great time. Thank you.

First time out this season, and the first time on a WUF water. A lovely half day fishing from 8:00 to 12:30 but unfortunately no fish caught. Did see about six rises, usually while my Parachute Adams was in the trees.

My second time to this venue - the first was last week. Another lovely sunny day and a few fish rising. I fished on and off from 11.30am to 4pm and caught two trout: 16cm & 22cm. Exclusively fished dry flies again. Great fun!

A really lovely day, leisurely working my way upstream from 7.30am to about 2.30pm, targeting the rising fish. My first time here, I was sussing out the beat, and sticking exclusively to dry flies. I caught 3 : two at 9" and the final one 10". Feisty little fish, beautifully marked; there were several others rising too, but too easily spooked. I only have a 9ft rod so I was limited where i could cast; I may have to invest in. shorter, lighter outfit as this was a lot of fun!
