Lost 2 nice trout later in the evening as it was getting dark beneath the bridge. Grey Wolff fly.

Not the easiest of beats to fish as quite a lot is inaccessible and the wading is tricky. Below the bridge we were unable to get into the river anywhere. The river appeared to have a dirty/milky tinge to it. 2 brown trout on a Grey Wulff. Also the directions need updating as the Steel Horse Pub no longer appears to exist.

2 nice trout early morning in quick succession on nymph. Moved to dry later on was unable to hook anything. A fantastic day out

Missed two fish the morning due to rusty river tactics :) the sun and heat put the fish down during the day. Couldn't fish the evening unfortunately as this is likely the best time.

Beautiful spot, not many risers and what did rise did not seem interested in the May fly, hard to tell what they were taking. Down stream of the bridge the bank has collapsed making it impossible to access the river although a local did say it was going to be improved again this year. Despite not catching anything it was a nice day on the river.

Fantastic dry fly fishing in Mayfly season produced fish of 3lb,and 2.5 lb with 4 others over lb just above the bridge. John blanked fishing subsurface nymph through woodstream.
Further visits alone on Sat 28th and Tuesday 31st May late evening produced 2 more fish of 1and3/4 and 1and1/2lb. all fish taken on dry grey wulff 12 fished diagonally upstream..
Brilliant week given the very low water.

Great evenings sport. Landed 1 nice trout of approx 2lbs. Dry fly, winged olive.
