We caught 1 Grayling just under 1lb, from the first swim after the bridge. We tried most ledger methods & baits, boilies, Pellet, cheese paste, red maggots were taken by the Grayling, but no sign of Chub orBarbel. In the afternoon, we moved to the other side, by the rapids & ladder. But no fish caught from here. My colleague has a disability & he found the swims difficult to get down to, can you recommend any other beats with easy access swims.

Two Chub to sweetcorn. This section was still running fast despite no significant rain for a while.

Tough day on the Wye today and blankety blank for me. Tried lots of methods, baits and covered all accessible swims which are fairly limited, but didn't get a single bite all day. As it was quite pacey, suspect the fish were in the few slacks but sadly no way of actually fishing them.

Conditions: Flow was fast with heavy boils throughout the beat. Water colour was good but had an abundance of foam at times. Be wary of large debrie, had several encounters with very large branches and a willow trunk 10 to 12 feet.
Fished with Pellets on running rig.

Beautiful day and a nice way to start my stay. Sadly no fish caught but a good few plucks and pulls from smaller fish. Will return in the spring.
