First return to this stretch for a couple of years. Astounding change, there are now dozens of really good swims where previously access to the water was limited to the Croy and about 3 others. Weather very hot and sunny and most fish taken on the Croy in faster turbulent water but also caught Barbel and Chub in the first field at the bottom of the hill particularly after the sun dropped below the bank. The new owner has done a stunning job and we will definitely be back. It helped having a Sherpa to carry some of my gear back up the hill. It is definitely a stretch on which to travel light. Meat proved to be the best bait although also caught on pellet.
