Very cold morning. The fishing was steady and we were very pleased as we only had 5 hours of fishing so the return was brilliant. Lets just hope the fishing is like this all season!

Good day fishing all got bag early and 2 fish of 3 ½ lbs weather good getting colder in afternoon all fish where taken off the bottom on worm.

6 trout each, mainly caught on a silver Mepps. Had a few with a worm on a bubble float. Also caught a nice little brownie which was put back, great day, great weather.

2 perch on ledgered worm from slope by dam, saw 1 rainbow taken on silver mepps in same spot.

Very windy day. Three trout, 1 on ledgering worm and two on the old faithful silver mepps no2. Also 2 perch, one on the worm and the other on a spinner. All stock size - would be nice to have a bit of variety in size next season. Looking forward to coming back, I have had a few good days here in the past few months. Thanks Usk.

Fished NE shore in strong breeze and fine rain a.m. Too windy for fly so spinning with small mepps. Moved across to S shore p.m. and the novice with me caught a 2lb rainbow. Returned to NE shore and two more rainbows of around 2lb were caught, another by the novice!! Squadrons of cormorants still on the reservoir.
