3 rainbow trout caught on spinners all returned in excellent condition. Took a walk up to far end of the lake and found what looked like some sort of poaching device with elastic tied to a stick under a rock at the water`s edge which we cut. Also lost around 4 other fish.

Torrential rain and windy conditions drove us to take shelter on the wooded side of the reservoir which in comparison was becalmed, an area that we had not previously fished. 9 Rainbow trout between 1.5 and 2.5lbs caught on mepps aglia spinners, six returned.
Wish I had taken the fly rod but discounted this upon setting off due to the high winds. Good quality fish.

Sinking line with a booby fly proved popular with 5/6 bagged. The last fish was caught on a floating line with a 'leech' type lure just below the surface.

Reasonable day on the reservoir me and my dad both with 6 fish permits. I had 3 and he had 4 averging about 2lbs. Nice fish. 3 taken on worm and 4 taken on spinner. Water was alive with fish throughout the day. Tried fly but they weren't having any of it. Should of persevered with changing flies but gave up. Reservoir was getting stocked about 12:30pm but we were on the far back. We caught 1 after the stocking but lost count on how many bites and takes we had and lost, great day.

I used worm and spinning with no luck. The wind was quite strong and was pushing the bubble float into the bank very quickly. Having said that I enjoyed very much, my first days fishing for 20 years!
