Had another great day at this gem of a lake. Was blowing a hoolie when I initially turned up which made the top end fishable opposite the culvert and with intermittent sun coming through the low clouds, caught on my home tied flash back PTN and bibio variants. There were some savage takes by the usual fiesty black finned brown trout and with the high winds only fished a team of two during the six hour fishing session. When the wind did drop slightly, the fish moved up and takes were good in the wave. As usual had a fun time at this marvellous location and caught eight beautifully marked brownies , all quickly released to fight another day !!!!!!!! M
ay just squeeeeeeeeeeze another session in at this special Llyn before the end of the season, as usual thanks for a smashing day Llyn Bugeilyn !!!!!!!!!

All fish caught on hoppers. This is not the easiest of places to fish, it has some very boggy areas which you have to cross to get to any half decent ground. The rest is tussocks of heather and grass, hiding deep holes so great care is needed. In my opinion this isn't a place to go alone and I won't be going again.

All fish returned ... Another wonderful afternoon .... Slightly spoiled by the huge pile of burnt tyres on the road towards the lake.

Lovely days fishing. Most fish taken on or near the surface. Missed more than I caught!

Fished for an hour early evening on way home, would have fished longer but wind and rain set in, fish feeding near surface, as well as three caught had just as many pulls and takes. All on a purple bodied PTN all usual size for this lake good fighters on light tackle.

Nice to be back for a fishing session at this gem of a lake. Overcast and a slight ripple when I turned up at about eight in the morning !!!!!!!!!! Looked promising but initially dries didn't provoke any interest at all, so my bibio and spider patterns in very small sizes did the business to start the day, and had some savage takes from the famed black finned brown trout, from the rocky outcrop area hundred yards down from the bothy. Later on in the day, my home tied small sedge patterns worked on the top, and had another five on the dries, all released quickly, each one slightly differently marked, but all stunning. The surface activity dried up mid afternoon , so opted for the small wets again, and had another two, and several missed fish , but overall a really fun session at this spectacular spot , with twelve beautiful trout caught. As the clouds came in thick and low, it was time to call it a day at half four, as I drove up passed the crumbling stone barn, most of the Llyn was enveloped in thick cloud, a nice sight at the end of another great fishing day at this special place .

This is our second visit this year and anther fantastic days fishing with 27 fish caught all on dry fly I must say some thing about the farmer in a white Land Rover who shut the gate so we could not open it the gate was open when we drove down to the lake he did on purpose he knew we where there he could see the car down by the boat house we had to lift the gate off its hinges and put it back on so other anglers need to be aware of this
