My first time here and a really beautiful remote location. A real gale was blowing most of the day making casting extremely difficult. All fish caught in the last 40 mins when the wind dropped. Lovely looking trout with distinctive markings and dark fins.
This is probably upland llyn fishing for wild trout at its best.

Great to see Bugeilyn again but hard days fishing. Just 3 trout for a lot of effort. Unusually quiet with very little surface activity or signs of feeding fish. Wind very gusty directly down the lake which made casting from either bank difficult. No action at all on top, tried the usual favourites, small black flies and many others without as much as a swirl. The three caught came to diawl bachs, nice sporty fish, few more would have been nice but very glad to have fished here this year.

A final Welsh upland trip of the year for me, and it was a cracker. Arrived to perfect conditions - cool, overcast, a steady NW breeze. ~25 fish through the afternoon, with a couple of those golden fish-a-cast patches when the cloud cover got really heavy where you just have to be glad you were in the right place at the right time and soak up the view. They are such distinctive, hard fighting fish here too, a thrill to catch, even the smallest putting a decent bend in a 4wt. A bibio hopper/coch y bonddu combo was the most successful, probably a 50/50 split numbers wise although I think the better fish almost exclusively took the coch y bonddu. A lovely sunset on my way out, and I can't wait to return next year!

A slow day but great fun in a beautiful spot. All small fish about 1/2-3/4 of a pound plus a swallow that took the dropper whilst the rod propped against the bank and I was unhooking a fish. Netted and returned undamaged to flight.

Very hard day fishing. A stiff north wind made casting difficult, didn't see any fish rise, caught on black pennell and red head montana but still enjoy the day.

Using Llyn B to save my fishing trip. 2 fish to hand but very hard work with gusty winds and lots of rain.

What a difference a few days makes down from mid 30's to mid teens (not that i'm complaining!). Rain and low cloud all day so conditions perfect!
Well over a dozen trout on wets mainly Bibio hopper with red legs. Hen harrier spotted hovering and there was a Cormorant there most of the day.

Really hot and bright in the morning but saving grace was southerly breeze to give good ripple. 3 trout caught in morning ( half to three quarter lb) then at three pm with two thunder storms on either side wind changed to N. I lost a good fish and Ben had a really nice fish in region 2- 2.25 lb. Rises seen and various swirls at flies. All fish caught on size14 Stoats Tails or Connemara blacks. Drove home, rain and thunder all the way, Rhayader awash.
