Nice days fishing. No salmon seen or caught, plenty of action on the trout rod fishing tungsten nymphs with hairs ear nymphs on dropper catching 10 decent Grayling & 5 brown trout. My mate changed from his salmon rod to trout and caught trout and grayling also on nymphs. Water was very clear, those rocks are very slippery.

Perfect conditions, a few olives emerging, all fish taken on CDC emerger. Lovely stretch of river.

Good day on the river, no Salmon seen, river looked ready for some.
Trout rod came out once for the Grannom coming off in the occasional sunshine, rewarded with 3 brownies in fantastic condition.

Nothing to report salmon wise but my mate had 4 trout and 4 grayling.

Water 1.5ft on Guage and at an excellent height for the fly. No Salmon touched, seen or caught, returned 1 x 15inch Brown Trout taken on 2" Hairy Mary tube in Heirag. Another enjoyable day.

No sign of any fish but a great beat to fish with the Llanstephan webcam gauge at 1'6".

Fantastic conditions on the river Wye today with 1'6" on the gauge - albeit it crystal clear waters... Fished the beat from top to bottom twice (fly & spinner) having heard of fish showing here yesterday but to no avail not even a sighting of a fish. Some great pools on this beat I would love to hit it with a bit of colour in the water!

With the water looking great, this was a day to brush off the cobwebs and try out those flies I'd been tying in the winter. A strong pull after 10 minutes on a copper tubed Ally Shrimp in Upper Heirag lifted our hopes, but this was the only action of the day. We saw a Springer jump in Lower Bachawy.

River clearing, dropping during the day after Thursday night's rain. River is looking good for this week coming, shame I'm in Cambridge!
