What a contrast to Strangford yesterday. Struggled on the coloured river. Small chub to stick and corn. 1 big eel to feeder. Angler on far bank had 2 barbel- he was on the bank early. We didn’t start until 9.30 and packed up at 2 .30 for the long journey home. Some of the middle swims looked nice so maybe worth another go. Hot bright conditions didn’t help.

Lovely summers day but the fishing wasn’t that good. Managed to get most of the fish from the fast water before it went quiet for hours.Caught rest of fish( chub) from slow water before we left late on. All fish caught on swimfeeder and pellet.

A hard day with just a small chub, dace and eel. Most of the "wall" is inaccessible as it hasn't been strimmed but maybe there is a safety issue here and this is deliberate to stop access.

First time on this beat. Good variation of swims. Bit busy on the other bank but it was the weekend. Dry track to river, wouldn't do it in in the wet without a 4 x 4. We had a couple of barbel and a few chub in the afternoon then decided to switch into a different swim for the evening and that got us another 9 barbel.

Fished from 9am till 8pm , today was an absolute scorcher! We took refuge in the shade for most of the day , didn’t fish as hard as we could but netted a few throughout the day .
This beat always provides a good days fishing ,

Tough day despite the extra water and overcast conditions- first cast a Barbel then nothing for hours until two chub came along - anglers on the opposite bank struggling too.
Access to the gates at the top of the hill was via ankle deep cow dung so wear wellies !
