Very few active fish but the water was crystal clear so maybe they saw me before I saw them. All fish came from the pool just below the bridge at Capel Bangor and all caught on a size 18 Griffiths gnat. Beautiful river.

Went early in the morning caught and returned 3 brown trout on parachute iron blue Dun size 16 all around 8". Saw in one deep pool the large head of a fish move towards the fly to check it out and then move back down, couldn't positively say what species as it was hard to see what it was. Water fairly clear/tea coloured.

Spent the day dry fly fishing between 35 and 43 spots. Didn't catch anything, but not surprised as Im new to fly fishing. Really enjoyed it though.
It was overcast all day with a slight misty rain drizzle at times. Hope to be back soon to get some more practice and maybe catch something. Bonus was had an otter enter the river right in front of me and shoot up river. Hope he had more luck than i did. Can't wait to get down on the river again.
