Only fished for a couple of hours in the evening. Horrible wind gusting straight down the river. Frustrating conditions. Very few rises and little fly life. However, a pretty beat and will definitely return for a longer session.

My fishing buddy managed a nice trout from below the bridge, I couldn’t hit a barn door with a blunderbuss, missed 6 takes on dries and hooked and lost one, seem to be going through a poor patch at the moment.
Nice steady hatch of Large Brook Duns around midday which lasted quite a while. Only a couple of Mayflies seen.

Hot, sunny, upstream easterly and 0.26m on the Trallong guage = low and clear. Not many upwings today - was hoping to hit an Olive Upright hatch but it didn't happen. Nothing bigger than 14" / 1.5lb - these Penpont fish are chubby for sure. Large Brook Dun emerger, small black F Fly and KH, and HvK's Blackhamer caught the fish. Hard!
